Since 2018, many tuning options have come to market to compete on making "the best" calibrations possible. A few core groups formed, KDMAX being one of those. Out of it grew others. Over time, on-going competition, growth, and acquisitions have changed the landscape. In that process, KDMAX Pro calibrations cease to exist and are not available for distribution. I was informed no source code or adjustments are possible with those calibration files.
Given over the past 5-years thousands of owners have received KDMAX Pro tunes and their support it is critical that everyone has a clear path to any support needs and can easily locate help. Service matters so this site lives on to offer services and support for the newer and more refined offering on the market with McB's Elite Performance calibrations. For any new owners and to support any past customers of any other tune offering we are hear and growing daily to provide support the comptition can't. While some of that support may be offered at a low cost, asking questions and getting informed help is always free.
Keep in mind that McB's Elite Performance calibrations offered now are not "versions" of KDMAX Pro. Just like competitive offerings on the market are not KDMAX-based calibrations even though the owner or partner may have also provided KDMAX calibrations historically.
This site is all about support for the thousands of past KDMAX Pro customers and ensuring owners know they have great choices on what "the best" really is.
We are dedicated to providing top-quality calibrations and services to any owner we can support! With local options for in-person tuning, meetup events, and remote support across the US, PR, and Canada we have you covered.

For non-forced induction options, the calibrations offered do not modify the OEM ID, which means it will always report back as "stock". We've found some files offered elsewhere do not satisfy this expectation and have ensured they are not part of our services whatsoever.
No. For all the currently supported vehicles the calibrations cannot access the speedometer functions. While they do adjust the shift point/speed calculations internally for the tune logic they do NOT alter the speedometer readout in any way. There are other aftermarket options available that involved a programmable inline device behind the dash and we can certainly provider recommendations for you to consider. In some case, in-person services can provide such device installs.
Although we do not guarantee warranty status, many of our customers have had no issues having warranty items taken care of without issues after tuning. In fact, in 6+ years of tunes on the market we have yet to hear of a tune offered by professional resources that has ever had a concern. This is over thousands of trucks and growing!

Custom calibrations (and the VFTuner platform they are build from) are proven and tested on our own vehicles! This can mean months of testing before we even get updates to offer to the public.
No, the calibrations is written to the vehicle and will remain in place until the ECU is replaced and/or the calibration is overwritten.
If any prior customer every takes their vehicle into the dealer and has their ECU updated for some factory update we will need to reflash the custom tune to re-apply. This is at no cost to you, we just need to coordinate the visit or remote option to best support you.
The tuning platform we use (VFTuner) indicates that any tunes produce can at no time be used on any emissions control vehicle that is used for anything other than off-road performance or competition use. ALL Ecu tunes, Calibrations, flashes, files, datalogs, or anything in regard to the tune, tuning process, changes, are for OFF-ROAD USE.
OUR TUNES AND FILES CANNOT BE USED IN ANY WAY TO CIRCUMVENT EMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS WHERE YOU LIVE FOR ANY REASON. THIS REGARDS ALL ENGINES, ALL ECUS, ALL FILES REGARDLESS OF CAR, MAKE, MODEL ETC. THE SERVICE CHARGE FOR TUNING IS SPECIFICALLY FOR YOUR ECU FOR TRACK AND OFF ROAD CONDITIONS ONLY.
- Any files or calibrations are developed only for the exact vehicle and drivetrain that it comes with from the factory.
- Calibrations do not modify or disable any emissions check, component, monitor
- calibrations cannot be modified to disable any reporting component
- calibrations cannot be modified or used for any vehicle except for the intended vehicle, exact ECM, and specifications that came from factory.
No, and for that reason at this time the calibrations cannot alter the shift points and throttle settings while Adaptive (Radar) Cruise Control is enabled. While engaged, your vehicle will still function with factory settings (untuned)
Of you hold the cruise control button down for 3-5 seconds you will enter the Regular (Constant Speed) Cruise Control mode. This mode has our updated KDMAX Pro settings.
We have word that an update to our tuning platform (VFTuner) is coming that will allow some level of access to improve the adaptive cruise shift/throttle mappings. Release data is TBD.
